Transformation 1 (Clusters) is the first of a series of six transformations of the exhibition Growing Like A Tree: Static In The Air curated by Sohrab Hura. This video is a tour of the exhibition in its first stage of transition led by Sohrab Hura and Sabih Ahmed followed by a conversation with artists Farah Mulla, Jaisingh Nageswaran, Sathish Kumar and Zainab about their practices and their relationship with clusters, densities and layers in art-making.

Static In The Air presents Hura’s navigation in the fields of photography and contemporary art through a tuning of sonic frequencies spanning South Asia and beyond. Resembling the act of switching radio-stations, Static In The Air takes a dynamic approach to exhibition-making through a series of curatorial interventions made between 11 – 16 September with 15 artists and collectives from Bangladesh, Germany, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

This programme is presented in the context of the exhibition Growing Like A Tree: Static In The Air that runs from 11 September to 9 December 2021.
