Transformation 6 (Valves) is the sixth of a series of six transformations of the exhibition Growing Like A Tree: Static In The Air curated by Sohrab Hura. This video is a tour of the exhibition in its sixth stage of transition led by Sohrab Hura and Sabih Ahmed followed by a conversation with artists the Nepal Picture Library and The Packet about their practices and how they regard archives as sites of accumulation and flows.
Static In The Air presents Hura’s navigation in the fields of photography and contemporary art through a tuning of sonic frequencies spanning South Asia and beyond. Resembling the act of switching radio-stations, Static In The Air takes a dynamic approach to exhibition-making through a series of curatorial interventions made between 11 – 16 September with 15 artists and collectives from Bangladesh, Germany, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
This programme is presented in the context of the exhibition Growing Like A Tree: Static In The Air that runs from 11 September to 9 December 2021.
