Ishara Art Foundation presents a book launch and artist talk by Navjot Altaf, marking the release of her two-volume publication ‘Navjot At Work’ and ‘Artist’s Notes’ published by The Guild Art Gallery, Mumbai. The talk will be the first public presentation by the artist in the region, touching on key moments in her career as an artist and activist, followed by a discussion moderated by Sabih Ahmed, Associate Director and Curator of Ishara Art Foundation.
Pre-registration is mandatory due to limited seats. The programme will be conducted in English.

Navjot Altaf
Navjot Altaf was born in 1949 and currently lives and works between Mumbai and Bastar. Since the 1970’s, her practice has negotiated various disciplinary boundaries involving painting, photography, sculpture, installation, video, site-specific works, research and activism. Collaboration lies at the heart of her artistic methodology, extended through dialogues, workshops and readings of historical and contemporary art, literature, film and cultural theory.
