Ishara Art Foundation presents “My Land, My Sea, My Sky”, an interactive workshop bridging image-making, memory, and ecology. The session invites participants to map their personal associations and relationships with the changing landscapes, waterbodies and skies that surround us, drawing inspiration from the current exhibitions The sky held it, the earth remembered at Ishara Art Foundation and What The Sea Leaves Behind at Gulf Photo Plus.
Following guided tours of the two exhibitions, participants will create original cyanotype works through writing exercises and experimentation with alternative photographic collage processes. The workshop engages participants in a tactile exploration of sequencing, folding, and simple bookmaking, to create a unique, handmade publication to take home.
What The Sea Leaves Behind traces stories of fishing, memory and environmental resilience across Bahrain, Oman and the UAE, looking at what it means to live alongside a sea that is changing, and what resilience really costs.
This event is presented in conjunction with the exhibition The sky held it, the earth remembered, on view at Ishara Art Foundation from 11 September – 15 December 2026.
